Day 2: GDC Next – Ste Curran

Ste Curran’s panel discussion was the best mixed media presentation/talk that I’ve attended at a conference in a very long time. Everyone that was at the panel was completely engrossed in the story Ste was telling. If you ever get the opportunity to get to see him do In The Time It Takes A Heart To Beat,”¬† I highly recommend you go and hear it. The story is touching and inspiring. It makes you really think about what you’re doing with your life. What’s important and the evolution of memories.

The Queen is an example of Ste’s experimental methods for story telling.

Day 1: GDC Next – Neverending Nightmares

What I’m writing here on my personal blog is sparse because I have to do a write up of the conference for TheKoalition. That being said I cannot contain myself because¬†Neverending Nightmares won my heart. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to play the demo at The Mix, an indie dev party I attended last night. The incorporation of art design and sound made for a great psychological horror game demo.

Keep a lookout for this game and help fund it if you’d like. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait until next October for its release, but I can do it. Neverending Nightmares will be available on Ouya, PC and Mac. I’m sending a very big thank you to Ouya for helping make the creator’s dream a reality.

I love horror anything and this beats the monotony of zombies and other horror gaming trends, enjoy the teaser trailer.
